Cue the inevitable "Infamy, infamy....they've all got it in for me...!" rant from that lovable Steve Evans.....

Crawley Observer link here:   http://www.crawleyobserver.co.uk/sport/Reds-lose-appeal--club.3367001.jp

A couple of points.

It's of no surprise to absolutely anyone except Crawley it would seem. Everyone else was amazed at how lightly they had got off with it in the first place.  :P

The person referred to as 'The Reds Boss' is Chas Majeed, an bankrupt millionaire who is disqualified for having anything to do with the club...apparently.  ;)

Chas can't understand why they've been deducted points.  ::)

Each side is resposible for their own costs, in thi scase CVA Crawley have spent £20,000 on a barrister. That'll go down well with all the local businesses they've shafted  :(  It also means that it's cost the conference money too, a few thousand quid you'd say, I bet this coupled with Evans comments about the Crawley board and the feeling about the initial  punishment anyway means that the conference board will be really happy with them.

It would be a shame if any further misdemeanours meant they found themselves being discussed at the AGM.  :D :D ;D

It is evident from the whole saga that people like this will continue to get away with it.
It wouldn't matter if it was 6 points or 60 points because these people have no regard whatsoever for rules and regulations of any sort.

The story is topped off with a footnote about reading boss watching a crawley player. I.e. the majeeds rub their hands with glee at the impending pay day, whilst their creditors struggle on in an honest fashion.

Just a horrible club really through and through, I feel sorry for the long-standing fans!

Jesus, this bloke wasn't cheap either.

Wonder who paid for it, noticed he represented Steve Evans in his fraud trial.  ::) The Conference case must have been absolutely watertight!
