Support at Halifax
« on: August 15, 2007, 08:39:07 AM »

I thought the support last night was EXCELLENT. I thought we were little quiet on Saturday and not as noisy as should have been for an openning game but last night we showed that everyone is getting behind the team and the new players must have been impressed with the support they were getting from the fans, even at 2-0 down.

Funny how all fans make more noise away. Certainly outsung Halifax apart from after their goals where they could get that bloody drum out (yes moaning about them already  ;) )

The SAM commentary praised the support saying we well outdid the Halifax support

And rightly so, we were outstanding last night and its got to be said, that its one of the best stands in the league to sing in. They could make some real noise if they sang more, cant understand why they didnt. But as you say, I really think it made the new players realise what the support is like. For a Tuesday night it was a brilliant performance from the fans (and the players  ;))

The highlight of my night was being able to silence an easy clap.  Sad I know.

That's a hell of a jump from 180-200! I suspect 200 is the more realistic figure.
