Home festive fixture, still deems lots of injuries so my team barring more would be

             Ross

Banks Olson   Baines Golden

      Wilson  Crawford

Weaver    Newby   Kosylo

         Linney

A fixture which neither set of fans relish. They will whinge about our away end (at least you can pay by card & buy e-tickets you tax dodgers), defend like lions & try & do us on the counter. They do have a great away record so their brand of football clearly optimised for on the road.

Recall last season Ross wasn?t really fit & couldn?t get down properly for either of their goals & the lumbering Marcus Dackers up front. Neither of those handicaps this year so hopefully we can come out on top of this inevitably low scoring game. We are due a league win against them & we have been superb at Moss Lane recently both defensively & offensively so optimistic we can edge it ooh 2-1.

Crowd always interesting on Boxing Day, suspect United & City current travails won?t harm us in that regard. Advance sales healthy I hear so ooh 3,300 with 425 Yorksher folk.

Always awful home and away v this lot and I expect it will be awful again. If I was pushed to make a prediction, I'd say 0-0 and it will rain.

You're right, it's an awful festive fixture for both sets of fans. As for game we've just scored 4 away to Aldershot and probably should have been the first team to beat Barnet at their ground. So we go to the game in good spirits. Think your manager does a
Good Job, but can't warm to him as in previous years his interviews have come across to me that he is a bit of an arrogant sod. Looking forward to facing kossy and golden.  Both those two are hot heads and I hope we take advantage of that fact. Will be lumping on some money in them getting carded in this fixture. Especially Kossy.

He's not at Kossys level. But last season, Golden was often getting yellow cards especially in 2nd half of season for dissent or reckless tackles, was commented a lot on our forum at the time. We thought he would be a big loss, but got to say we haven't missed him that much at all.

Wonder if your gaffer is a bit reluctant to start Kossy on Boxing Day. He always
Seem to lose his head against us. His sending off at Shay last season was quite amusing as it was current teammate Golden who was winding him up from the outset.

Interesting you still have a bee in your bonnet about Kossy. Been with us over four years and was at Fylde before that. He's obviously made a huge impression on you.

Ehhh. Good player for us and I've always liked Him. But he's always been a hot head and even more so when he plays us. Remember your fans slating him on this forum last year about his lack of discipline after his silly send off at the shay last season...

Agree with this, maybe James Jones for Olson.

Would love to see that front 4. Has Parky got the bottle?.? Not sure.

I'm pretty sure he hasn't, so Osborne for Weaver.

Any team with Kosy in gets my vote. He shows passion to play in the ?red n white stripes? - tough footy as Kingy would have said in the 80?s!! KOYR

Pleased with a point in the end, although we had 3 good chances near the end. Thought referee was poor and biased toward Fax. Not sure what went on at HT in tunnel, I'm sure if players need disciplining they will be based on any video of the incident. The sending off spoilt the game somewhat but our resilience was excellent.

Trivial Whinge Alert ⚠️

We usually sit in the middle of the stand towards the back for the optimum view but, due to meeting my old pal in the CSH we were forced to sit further over. I was unable to see anything within 20 yards of the corner flag due to the utterly appalling state of the stand windows.
Surely this could be addressed easily and cheaply? I realise it's not in the same class as not being able to see part of the pitch due to the CSH being in the way but it is annoying.
Other than that, a good day out which would have been even better with a full complement in the second half and a goal in the 87th minute so my Golden Goal came up! 😉

A poor game summed up by what happened at half time - but we can take some positives in the way that we defended, the entire back line was solid and Ethan Ross was superb, most notably that save from Waters.

Great result with all things considered. Should have been 1-1 with both penalties given to be fair.

I wouldn't have said the ref was biased in any way as he gave a number of bad decisions both way it seemed, including not giving either penalty shout.

I will not be surprised at all to learn that Matty was responding to something and the ref only just noticed at that point, such was his ability to react on the pitch.
