I saw enough from Weaver in pre-season to know that he should be back in the Alty squad asap.

By no means the finished article but that certain others are preferred to him must be very demoralising.

This team is crying out for a raw player.

CCC was raw when he was on loan to us.

Watmore was when he came through and there are others.

Berry was and is now bagging in league two.

Need someone who isn?t petrified of having a go at goal. Straight in and give him a handful of games.

Listened to Parky speak about Weaver on Radio Alty, in which he stated the likes of Justin, Reddin, Linney and Kossy would be scoring the same amount of goals at that level.
I am not saying Weaver is better than Reddin, Kossy or Amaluzor, but I actually don't think they would be scoring like him. Amaluzor often struggles to hit the target.
I think Weaver is different, more of a goal threat and confident.
With our recent benches lacking anyone exciting, who could make a difference, then surely this is the time.
What have we got to lose??

Where is he playing for them, out of interest?

Is he their centre forward or is he playing off the left?

Would be really good if he was getting experience as a goal scoring number ten.
But I don't think so.

I agree, he will be training with us FT and going to BB when they train, which I guess is at night. I would have him in the squad, he's an exciting prospect that knows where the net is as well.

His goals last week were from the right wing position.

Scored again today - which means he's Cup tied in the FA Trophy, suggesting that there are no plans to involve him in the foreseeable.

Today was very good but this situation is a joke.

Only two leagues below and he is smashing it.

Regan came from that standard, Wilson even lower.

Berry was signed by Chesterfield from Macc in a lower league.

We couldn't start two fit wide players today, I know it didn't matter but this lad deserves a chance.

He isn't just scoring, he is so involved in each game. Assisting and breaking lines.

I fear he is being massively wasted, give him a chance. Amulazor is having more bad games than good.

It can only be a good thing that he's doing so well - the majority of players we've taken a punt on from the lower leagues haven't been up to standard and it's clear Lucas Weaver isn't going to be one of them.

But we're 16 games into a 46-game season, let's not pretend we're watching him slip away from our grasp week by week. He'll get his chance here.

I think I'd be very tempted to bring him back in the new year. It'd be like a new signing for us.

It's great he is doing well at BB. think should bring back into the main squad or at least get him in the NLN.
