Looks as though AO have had a big hand in it. Shame the red and white stripes don?t continue down the shirt it might have looked slightly better. Not a fan of it. Away one for me this season

Yes it doesn't grab me either actually.
But I always think that. It's probably an age thing. 🙄
I'll probably love it this time next year. 😊

Wow ....the away kit looks like a referee kit or kids team kit, the home one looks unfinished or a mistake yet to be edited....

The AO logo is too prominent but I suppose if they are stumping up the cash so be it. I?m not a team shirt purchaser so it won?t really affect me

There is no way this kit was designed for the AO sponsor. It's certainly been done for the J Davidson huge logo that takes up more space on the sides.

I dislike it a lot. Not the design, that's just fine. But for the fact we went with green. Horrible. We look like a Christmas decoration. We look like there could be allegiance to a certain green and white sh*te we all hate.

AO have a full brand guide for how to deal with their logo in other colours...

It's there slap bang in the centre in black. I have dreamed of us having a modern sponsor that will see us have a shirt that fits the current streetwear trends rather than the jpeg of doom we had before. This isn't it.

I hate being negative about things but I've been dreaming of this new kit and the overall release has been a disappointment.

It's 30 years since we played Tottenham at White Heart Lane this year, how we didn't look to make our kit nod back to then I dunno. Instead we went with the Sale Sharks away kit (which I like aesthetically at least) and this. We could have saved this one for a year or two, added a nice bottom to it like the kit we wore at Deepdale and had room for a fat new sponsor on the lower part.

We as fans want to wear our colours for games, but we also want it to be something worth wearing at other times. These kit's ain't it. I'll still wear my KGR black and yellow shirt out to the pub thanks. That f**king thing has a certain absolute C**ts name on it still and I'll wear that out of preference.

We obviously had a high bar to follow, given that all of our Puma home shirts (the first one in particular) have been incredibly smart, and last year's away shirt is up there with the greatest the club has ever worn.

It did fill me with a touch of dread that we'd see green on the front of the shirts, which has now proven to be the case. Funnily enough I looked for AO's brand guidelines myself but ultimately they'll have HUGE sway over which colour we go with - and I guess rightly so.

The away shirt looked really smart at Colne, and if nobody had told me about Sale I'd have been none the wiser.

Pleased we have stayed with red & white stripes, I was worried that sponsorship and manufacturer pressure may have produced something that lost our identity. Logo does look a bit as though its been slapped on as an afterthought but I agree it needs to be prominent. Assuming its the same cost as the away shirt, a 20% price increase on last season 🤔

The shirt itself is decent. No issues there at all... it's actually one of the styles I'd marked to use as my preference.

I am glad we found such a great new sponsor it's awesome. But I can't believe if we went and said "green is our historic rivals colour" and then pointed to the graphic above I think we could have persuaded them it's not the best look.

I think the away shirt is smart, it's just lacking originality from the other team a lot of fans support (sale not city, that comparison is dumb). I also don't think that it was a lazy decision for either shirt. Time and effort has gone in to it all and it's valued by us all no doubt.

Anyway, for next shirt committee a note... This kit will be 30 years old in 2 years. https://www.footballkitarchive.com/altrincham-1996-97-home-kit/ Let's get the same cut with the sponsor at the bottom of the back where EN-S was back then.

Only at alty would we get a new main sponsor which is a household name, market leader, makes more in half a day than we do in a whole year, and complain about the colour of the logo...

The colour and style of a shirt say everything about a team. I am saying no more. If I did the administrator would probably delete this post.

Very, very cryptic!
Can we assume you're not a great fan of the new kit then? 😎

Luddites, mate. Probably the same people who enjoyed the Unibond League and love unsegregated games.

We've moved on.
