Can't see him displacing Cooper or Baines but he's a good back up for them.
We need cover at full back now.
If we were going to sign a marquee signing, I think we'd have done it by now.
As others have said, let's hope we're pleasantly surprised by a couple of the trialists.

I'm really pleased for him, he's clearly proved his fitness and his worth to the management team, and that's good enough for me.

Will be interesting to see if Justin Donawa can follow suit.

Quite. However we've got plenty of wide forwards now and although he can play full back, we ought to be looking for specialists there imvho.

I think it's good. 3 L2 standard CB's is great tbh.

Fully agree with the point regarding JD, but I think we're short of enough depth and he could fill the squad in that regard. 7 subs and 5 on the pitch next season changes everything. If we want to be at the top of this league we need to be able to bring that many effective subs on.

I think it obviously helped James Jones's cause that we lost another centre back we had initially expected to retain. I wonder if he'll stay on as club captain - or do we think the armband will be assigned elsewhere?

Not a guaranteed starter so will go elsewhere.

Marriott was a decent captain.

Those are definitely the two prime candidates.
