I think many of us would have been happy to see him back here - he'd have been an upgrade on Dan Mooney, for example - but I always got the impression that Parky wasn't totally taken with him - brilliant on his day but inconsistent and injury prone too of course.

A bit disappointed not to see him here, but at the same time there will be similar options out there.

Watch him tear it up at York!

Not sure I'd be so certain on York - they were well fancied last season too.

I'm sure they'll go better now they have a decent manager but as Oldham have found, that doesn't make things a foregone conclusion.

My feeling is that Forest Green will go straight back up - they'd have survived if it weren't for the disastrous Troy Deeney experiment, and they have recruited well on top of that.

I rate everything about them higher than last season.

Hinsh has had a way with Worthing of finding and bringing in the right men for his system. I think that will become clear this season.

High chance it goes wrong if they don't get it done in the next two years though for sure.
