Thanks for posting the 1957 programme, Ukrainian Alty.

I enjoy all our history and, in a weird way, a mediocre season like 1956-57 when we finished 16th, with Northwich Victoria winning the league (boo!) is more intriguing than the more successful seasons a few years later with Freddie Pye and Jack Swindells et al of which so much more is known.

I did read once that we first produced a programme against Sutton when we joined the Lancashire Combination in 1911, but no copies are thought to survive.

The team were very well supported that day and this was in part due to a shed load of Barnsley fans who turned up from nowhere shortly after kick off and joined the Alty fans.

That clears that up then.

Brilliant recollections fellas and thanks so much ,  i could read these all day , great memories all of them and some newbies to boot !  Us vets ( we're known as 'masters' in my running fraternity ) could do with a stand alone thread to recall our tales 'back in the day' .🙂

Here are the rest of my Wolves 1966 FA Cup clippings.  We were only losing 0-3 at HT so we must have played better 2nd half.
