Brilliant that they are playing this at their ground. FA Cup rules are that away teams get 15% of the tickets, so in this case Charlton actually get 18%.

I agree that it's great they are playing at home.

The thing is,though, that they apparently have an average home gate of around 150 and are only 3 miles from Charlton, so a good number of "home" fans will actually be Charlton fans, many of whom will genuinely like both teams. In a local context, I think it's a bit like Cheadle Town getting a home cup replay against Stockport County.

I do know someone who went to the first game at the Valley, so I will ask if he knows if there are any attempts to prioritise any categories to ensure that they can get match tickets.

Making sure of the home advantage. Good idea.

As has been pointed out, it might not be much of a home advantage!

I'm surprised they haven't gone somewhere like Welling to get the crowd up a bit - but maybe they fancy their chances of actually winning the tie (and there's the telly money too).

There is also the emotional issue of playing their biggest ever home game, at home. If we drew city or utd at home I would be very unhappy if we took that to Stockport.

Well done CVPMFC.
