Promotion latest odds

After starting the season at 150/1to win the National League
Our odds are now at 11/1
For me a play of place and to retain PP and NS
Will be a fantastic season
Oh and of course a trip to Wembley for a Trophy
Final would be the icing on the cake.

I don't bet, but those odds at the start of the season were ridiculous, as we looked  to have a decent mid-table side looking at the players signed
Since then we have surpassed my expectations, especially considering all the injuries we have had. The current odds look much more realistic, but I can't see us reaching the play-offs, making the Trophy Final and also retaining the management team; it would be a great season, but if we achieve the first two, then the third becomes ever more unlikely, I regret to say.

I had a quid each way at 100-1, and at least I'm getting a run for my money. I'd rather bin off the Trophy if it's likely to stretch our squad and adversely affect a playoff push.

If we don't win the trophy & play off double then we might as well find ourselves a competent manager who knows how to build a squad and get promoted.

Told a few mates to lump it on for a later cash out... They waited 3 weeks and before a ball had even been kicked to make a 20 quid return.

Last time I bet on Alty to get promoted, they got relegated the season after. I give the bookies a miss now.
That, I think, was when I became a glass half empty kind of bloke! 😉

No way I'm putting the money on. Happy to be considered a football savant if they make a bit of cash... the potential outcome is payoff enough for me.

I did see one of these articles the other day... just seemed the odds were largely aligned with current league positions.

Like Radcliffe being 10/1 for the NPL pre-season, I suspect there's a lot of joy to be had in non-league betting from those with the knowledge.
