Appears that there's trouble in paradise over there at the moment, with Holt throwing his toys out of the pram and putting the club up for sale.

Didn't take too kindly to the management team asking for clarity over their futures in the media.

I'd love nothing more than to see them back with us at this level - or even better, pass them going the other way.

As the old Milk advert said,
Accrington Stanley, who's that?
Exactly.

This is just a mental situation, I don't think anyone has covered themselves in glory there after the past few days.

I get the managers are long-term servants of the club and would like to have some security beyond the end of the season but they were relegated last season, so going to December before deciding if a change is needed seems like good ownership to me.

It's all a bit weird.

Interesting interview with Holt on the Price of Football podcast (those of you who don't listen to this, should...its very diverse and interesting, but basically about the money side of football..from time to time Alty get a mention)

Holt sounded just burnt out and frustrated and felt he had taken the club as far as he could. Seems like he has spent a lot of cash over the years also, which he will never see back. I think when his friends and family started telling him about the negative comments about him personally in the media it was probably a step too far.
