I still don't know what's up with Justin Donowa, he's been missing some time now.

About a week away i believe

On the bench today

Need to go back to radio robins streamed separately from Radio Alty if possible. Just adverts and random bits of music. Summariser is inaudible as well

Nothing good about this game for Alty it seems.

Bad radio stream, terrible camera work on the video stream.

It also sounds like our ref is only the third worst of the day. The Halifax game saw the ref smack a player in the face then give him a red, and Ashmore has handled his ball roughly 3m out of his area without getting a card.

All the above points are relevant, but the bottom line was that we were appalling. Once again we conceded the first goal to a free header in the box, and we were repeatedly cut apart by their passing game (quick and incisive where ours was slow and laboured). We lacked creativity, and I'm sorry to say that we don't look any better on the field than we did two years ago.

I haven't got a magic wand, but somebody needs to find one and wave it PDQ.

I wasn’t there today but listened to bits on radio robins when it worked. From the bits I heard it sadly seems that our biggest problem yet again is the defence leaking goals just as they did last season.
This problem needs sorting out asap otherwise a great start to the season is going to mean nothing.
We do not want this season turning into a copy of last season, there has been lots of talk (myself Included) about development of the ground etc. to do this we have to have a consistent team that will make folks want to come and watch regularly.

I think we should employ a defensive coach as it’s blatantly obvious that the way our defenders are currently coached isn’t working, we have tried most combinations at the back apart from using Baines (arguably our best defender) maybe he isn’t fit but it would be nice if an update on his condition was announced

You mentioned being quick and incisive Phil. Spot on mate. We take an age to get the ball forward (ie each of the back line have two touches before it goes forward.

If we do we're not taking it on board.
I'm not sure what our best centre back pairing is and I'm sure I'm not on my own. We need to play our best pairing and grow some understanding fast. That surely can only come when players have defined roles in situations and know and understand both their own role/responsibilities and the roles of their teammates.
That's my twopennoth anyway.
