Nonsense. They Barely beat Oxford City, let Fylde score 2, & couldn't put a disjointed Oldham to bed.

We shouldn't be looking at this as anything other than a top of the table clash of two unbeaten teams.

That being said it will probs be a 5-3-2 again as a sign of un-needed respect.

Not as tough as many of us think, and we're certainly capable of at least retaining our reputation as the League's draw specialists.

Apparently have signed a forward "Berry" from some nondescript lower league club

I agree with this… Banks has to come back in at RB. Jones was at fault for the goal on Saturday and was done way too easily. I feel this would not have been the case had we had someone with a bit more pace and better positional play.

Yes. We really do have to go 4-2-3-1 and let them worry about us playing to our strengths.
I've got a sneaky feeling we might surprise them and believe we can get something out of this game.
PS. We can win at Fylde too if we play our Plan A first eleven. 👍🇦🇹

Would that perchance be the nondescript lower league club that got trounced 3-0 at Lancaster last night ? 🤣🤣🤣

Agree.

We need to go toe to toe with them and finish our chances.

It's an excellent point; I hope Parky sees the irony in setting up supposedly more cautiously - and in doing so exposing a weakness.

The two defenders either side of a back three need to be comfortable being taken on, because it comes with the territory of our opposition getting behind our wingbacks from time to time. Sadly this is why James needs to be the central of the three.

You're absolutely right that it's acknowledged to be a strength to Lewis Banks's game and we might have been OK if we'd have been in a four. I actually think he'd be great on the right of a back three, given that I believe he covers at centre back too.

But for the record I wish to God we'd just go back to 4231 instead - if only for the fact that Justin Donawa is the only right wing back we have as far as I can see (and probably a very good one), yet he's currently unavailable.

Banks is definitely a sensible option to cut out the threat presented by Ryan Colclough.

I think we generally perform well against them.  Certainly hope that we don't put them on a pedestal and that we go for the win.

Tend to agree but having said that I'd be very happy with a draw as well.

Let's face it, a draw with Chesterfield and a win at Fylde and we'll all be over the moon.

Chesterfield seem to be playing Armando Dobra on the left flank and Ryan Colclough on the right wing, so Eddy Jones may well be the latter's direct opponent.
