Absolute Alty legend & another giant of a man to depart the Alty family after Kingy. I know we’ll get the family along to the game & pay a suitable tribute in due course.

Terrible news, with, in so many ways, the measure of the man being his great bravery and accomplishments after his football career. RIP

No matter how much we expected this eventually, it still comes as a shock that Mad Dog has finally succumbed to this dreadful disease. We use the words "hero" and "legend" so freely these days, but if ever a man truly deserved both accolades, Mark Alfred Maddox was that man. My thoughts are with his family.

R.I.P a truly brave and most humble gentleman.

He defied medical science with his strength and determination to survive so long.

My love and condolences to all those close to him
