I don't even care about the result. We won't send many first teamers into sheep country anyway.

Being played on the Wed for longer recovery.

We will be playing our strongest 11 and I hope we do.

I hate Macc and any game against them is so important.

in the 60s we had some great games and banter with Macc,they are rivals,i do not hate them.

Ellesmere Port had hardly any fans which was why they went bump. The trouble at their games, as I remember, was caused by Liverpool and Tranmere fans living locally. Don't forget Ports team comprised mostly of ex Tranmere players (and we signed a couple of them!)
Barry Ashworth, Joe Pritchard etc.

i remember playing them in an FA cup match at ellesmere,we won,they invaded the pitch before the final whistle and then after the game the ambushed us in the car park.Never had any trouble at the Moss Rose.

You clearly weren't at the famous 6-1 win at m*cc when they left before the end of the game to wait outside for us, went 'full windmills' into us and chased us teenagers to the station. (I was!)

PS. Were you there when Freddie Pye chucked a bucket of water over Brian Fidler and it all kicked off in the ground with bottles flying etc? (I was, and was hit by one.)
