Pre-season Friendlies
« on: July 22, 2023, 04:05:01 PM »

I was always under the impression that we weren't allowed, under some obscure legislation, to play a pre-season friendly against a club from our own league. Yet this afternoon AFC Fylde have entertained FC Halifax (but possibly not the crowd since it finished 0-0).

Have I just imagined this "rule"?

I think so.
It's just a case of what can you learn from it isn't it?
PS. They may have arranged it last year when they were in different leagues?
