It’s on now and 0-0 at the moment.

Is it really bad to say I'm glad Ollie Byrne did that?

Manager has to act.

i've spent the last few years hoping stockport would release ben hinchliffe and that alty would make a move for him.

The first name on team sheet for Tuesday at Wythenshawe Town is Ryan Forde. We CANNOT persist with Byrne - he's a total liability.

On a more positive note, a number of first teamers did themselves no harm at all - Eddy Jones, Lewis Baines, Chria Conn-Clarke (who sparked into life after half an hour) and Regan Linney all did well.

I liked the look of the two Justins, and given his technical proficiency and willingness to get forward I actually think I prefer Donawa to Banks at full back (I didn't know he could play there too).

Joey Jones has a really unusual gait - doesn't look a very natural footballer - but was busy giving instructions and I didn't really see him doing too much wrong either.

Osborne has been done to death, but we do need better.

Where's Isaac Marriott and Dior Angus? I'm guessing some players are still on holiday.

Wasnt able make it to the game.
Not seen the result but im guessing from post we have a hat- trick of pre-season results!
I cannot believe that PP has kept Byrne on after last seasons perfornance.

Who teaches Byrne to improve him?   Is it Gould? Is he good enough ?

A good few positives from todays game. Good performances from the regulars. Impressed with Roscoe and Joey Jones looks decent. Lewis Banks wouldn’t get a game on a park on a Sunday morning. How we didn’t sign Welch-Hayes I’ll never know

this is full time professional football, not the academy squad. he can do all his improving somewhere else while our new experienced capable goalkeeper (when we get one) is between the sticks.

It's not even an age thing at this stage.

Harry Tyrer was the best keeper in the National League North by a country mile last season, what I'd give for Everton to be willing to give him to us this season.

It's not just nerves and errors Harold. He doesn't control his penalty area adequately, and stays rooted to his line far too often. I don't believe he can be cured.

Remember Andrew Dawber ? Neil Young brought him in with a decent reputation from West Ham, and he was appalling. Every error was somebody else's fault in his opinion. Inside 5 years he drifted down the pyramid to Charnock Richard, and then out of the game completely. It pains me to say it, but Ollie Byrne puts me in mind of him in so many ways.

He's at Chesterfield this season isn't he?
