Too many poor displays so far… there’s a let’s just turn up and play displays!

Olly & Sam at the back were poor and midfield were headless chickens at times.

Embarrassing score line.

Stream is good, glad I didn’t go! 💩

Funniest comment re. Byrne from the commentator, "He's not the first choice to be fair."  It seems that anybody other than Parky can see that he ain't a first teamer!

To put things into perspective, it's fair to say that very few of that starting 11 will be anywhere near the first team come the opening game.
For anyone not at Lancaster on Saturday, I think you'll like the look of right back Boateng when he comes on.

The live stream is a good 3 minutes behind the actual game, but I've enabled FlashScores so I've got a 3 minute warning.

I've occasionally wondered whether Nom de Plume and I (and a few others) are over critical of Ollie Byrne. Tonight I know it's not the case, because of even FCUM's commentary team have picked up on his ineptitude :

"The keeper will be thinking he could have done better with at least two of the goals.......none of them have been particularly well struck."

I'm horribly afraid that if we continue with him, all of our opponents will get a goal or more advantage in every game, and having voted in the recent poll for a top half finish, I'm becoming afraid of a relegation struggle.

I'd have kept Jordan Hulme and played him in goal.

Looking on the bright side, perhaps better that the keeper is a complete and utter disaster now, rather than 'still a bit dodgy', so we're forced into the market NOW.

Have we signed the other lad just because he's his cousin?

Picking players up from the Irish/Welsh leagues is always a lottery imo - not sure why so many were so blindingly optimistic, I'm still reserving my judgement for now.

That was really really poor. Terrible performance.

A keeper is needed. Bynre on all the goals was awful.

Still remain concerned that we only have Joey Jones and Marriott for CM.

Vital position and we have no quality in reserve. If Jones doesn't perform we will be in trouble in that area.

I think that it's fair to say that we can begin the process of whittling it down a bit now. A number of the trialists were inadequate as were a number of our squad players from last season - no need to mention as it's clear to all.

Both keepers are dreadful and it makes me wonder how Lancaster City managed to get two keepers better than both of ours.

It's too early to tell for sure (it is only preseason after all) but a couple of our newer players from Scotland/Ireland look a little...well, let's hope it's rusty (or we may be in trouble).

I still like the look of Boateng, though tonight much of the play took place on our left side.

Obviously, no Marriott, Angus etc tonight so hoping for improvements moving forward.

I’m assuming the likes of Isaac and Kossy were being saved for Stockport on Saturday. Lots of trialist on show.

My big worry is the No1 position.

Just amazes me that Parky is allowing the keeper position to be a shambles.
Can't be pissing around with two bang average keepers in the National League. It will lose us so many points, as it did last season.
The defence have no confidence in him.
Also, we are a CM and winger short. In patches I really liked Swales , second half he disappeared.

I didn't go tonight, but listening to Radio Robins, Isaac had a slight niggle,so wasn't quite ready or wasn't risked. I don't remember hearing anything about Matty Kosylo, but after being out so long, I can understand him not playing two games so close to each other.

Agree on the number 1 - I am staggered we don't appear to have even a potential replacement goalkeeper - not on tonight's game, but on last season.
