Really pleased as others with CCC, other signings look really promising, more experience at this level.

Just awaiting those elusive wingers now.

Someone said that there were a couple more this week but I've not seen that confirmed anywhere else. We're still short at least one winger I think.

I'm hoping we have  a winger or 2 already signed up. Hopefully announced this week.

I'd say we need to sign two wingers minimum and probably three. We have a few players who can play wide (CCC, Kosylo, Angus maybe) but none for whom it's their best position.

7 was the figure from Phil - so that's 2 more, plus anyone from United to continue that partnership. That'd be 18 first team players, plus youth.

Of that 2, I would like to see a CM (in the mold of Smith/Maxi) and a a direct, pacy winger (even if they're less technical).

If we can add a 3rd, I'd opt for another winger.

If Maxi doesn't go out on loan elsewhere than hopefully we will try and get him   on loanfor a few months at least

Personally i prefer a flat back four with wingers as plan a  dont think  baines at lb has worked before when he was tried there ?

I think the suggestion was Baines on the left of a back three, with Eddy Jones at wing back.

I must admit I'd prefer to go back to the 4231 we know and love, but perhaps we'll continue to alternate between two separate setups again.

It seems to me that Dior Angus can play on the left of a 4231 or partner Regan up front if we went three at the back and two up front.

We opted for a back 3 at Oldham when things weren't quite firing for us. Perhaps a Plan B is afoot.

We opted for a back 3 at Oldham

Especially after James Jones was red carded!

The one thing that does worry me is the fact we're taking a punt on players from non-Engliah leagues; it's all well and good at the top of those divisions, but not so much towards the lower halves.

What we know is that anyone can give anyone a good game in the National League, week in week out. We saw how much Ollie Byrne struggled to adjust, it could be the case for these new lads too.

CCC did okay last time he was here
Roscoe was with Linfield who were runner-up last year and won the NI league the year before last
The lad from Arbroath has had loads of experience too.
I don't think there's much to worry about Marple.

I feel cautiously optimistic too, but we all thought the likes of Brockbank and Barrows were promising signings this time last year, for example.

At least 'experience' now means closer to 28 than 32; I feel we alternate each summer between going for experience and youth. Last time we did it we got Pringle but also others like Leitch Smith.

Definitely a different approach to this years recruitment than last.

Time will tell, but seems  more measured with experienced players this time

A few more to come in yet

We obviously wanted to make the extremes in form less severe - but we haven't managed to do so. Maybe we over-think it though, aside from Notts/Wrexham it seems every club this level does it...?

I'd still love Dylan Boyle here based on what I saw at Curzon (and he obviously knows CCC); on the face of it he seemed to have a similar game to Josh Lundstram and could be one young asset to invest in.
