in Vanarama Team of The Year.

I know he's not our player, but we did have him for 5.5 months out of the 9 month season. Have we had players in the league's team of the season, at this level, before?

It's a small shame they've listed him as Ryan Colclough (Chesterfield) as opposed to (Chesterfield/Altrincham) which is fairly standard for such things. Not that it matters, but his form for us deserves equal acknowledgement.

Hate to appear spiteful but hoping Notts County win the final. They deserve it.
As a side issue, if Chesterfield lose bids might come in and we have negotiated a juicy sell on fee! 😉

His form for 2/4 months at Chesterfield was less than stellar (there were even some mad lads asking why they bothered after a few games). Not to detract from his season, more to point out his best form was here, not there.

Notts County have 23 points more than Chesterfield. For me they deserve promotion rather more than Chesterfield.

Wasn't Mooney in the previous year's team or have I just imagined that? 🤔

Really hope Notts go up. Without them and Wrexham the league will have a bit more balance to it.

I think he won Young Player Of The Year.

And before we start, he's someone I definitely wouldn't have back - even if I seemed to be more of a fan of his than most around these parts.

Well done Ryan, he has settled in well at Chesterfield, one of the standout players in this league.

I agree 100 %.

By the way, did we ever get the compo we were due from Southend? If we did I must have missed it.

From what I saw of the play-off highlights for Chesterfield vs Bromley, Colclough was outstanding.

Of course Notts DO deserve to go up more , i'm still in Coco's corner though , c'mon you wonky twisted Spireites 😜
  p.s. should be a healthy crowd , between 40 -50,000 perhaps .

I still don't understand why Colclough's freekick against Dorking wasn't considered for our goal of the season. As I've said before, not many players at this level could do that. And while we're on the subject of things I don't understand (yes, I know :) ) I don't know why they give team of the year before the playoff final has been played, or man of the match before the final whistle. Players can, and sometimes do, do something right at the end that is brilliant (or for that matter terrible) that could make the decision look a bit silly - imagine if Gary Neville's goal for City had been right at the end and he'd already been made United's man of the match, or for that matter Dinanga at Halifax!
