A really professional job, well done lads.

Aside from the usual high performers, I thought Eddy Jones was excellent down that left hand side.

The United lad looked like a boy playing a mans game unfortunately, shame as I had high hopes for him.

Halifax in front of a packed Moss Lane please.

That declared away attendance figure of 663 looks somewhat underreported to me though.

How the travelling Alty fans - officially numbered as 663 but looking and sounding a lot more - taken from the main site report.

I don't buy that 663 at all.

Every player was excellent today, but if pushed, I'd say Isaac, Josh and Maxi were unplayable. All heroes, every one of them.

And yes, there were more than the 600 odd officially stated - honestly more like 800+

And here's our last Trophy semi-final, a 3,500 sell-out. Let's hope it goes better this time!

Looking back at that season, perhaps it's not a bad thing that it's one leg now.

Good day out.....not the best of games, but all players got us over the line today quite comfortably.

What a souless place. These grounds ruining football at our level......a short measure of John Smiths under a concrete stand for almost a fiver ffs......give me the social club at Ashton United or a tour round Accrington before entering their decrepit ground anytime

Pie, peas and gravy at Gainsborough! Or the twenty different sections at the Ruislip home of Wealdstone.

Controlled the game for 90mins, soft goal to concede but the job was done.

Playing as our 9 has to be the hardest job in football so I wouldn't be too hard on Hugill

Hoping for a home draw.

Great atmosphere yesterday, still smiling this morning. Thought whole team battled and we took our chances well. Ollie made one great save down to his right post, prior to them scoring with basically the last kick off the match.

Personally thought bringing Ferguson on, allowed them to come onto us, but we got away with it after we lost our shape. To that point they didn't look like scoring.

Onward and upwards.

Loved yesterday. Well done lads, professional job.

I agree with above, we are not very good at seeing games out when we become too defensive. We struggle with the formation change.

We looked comfortable. By bringing Ferguson and Osborne on for winger and striker put us under pressure.

Bringing Maxi off wasn't wise and I'd hope Parky wouldn't do the same again under similar circumstances. Our midfield 3 absolutely bossed the game from start to finish.

My ticket certainly didn't register and there were a few others around me who the steward just let straight though. There were 800+

Came across a few gripes on the York press site about queues to get in. York need to have a review of how the ticket sales were managed / assistance to get a circa 50% capacity crowd in.

Yes I have also heard from people who were trying to get in on the home side that tickets weren't working, and that it was getting quite frantic just before 3PM. The football club were blaming the Stadium Management Company and vice versa.

The York Knights rugby league team share the stadium, but previously didn't publish their attendances, as they didn't believe what the Stadium Management Company said. Apparently, they do now, but it takes 24 hours to get a figure. Therefore, when the SMC say the away attendance was 663, but everybody who was there thinks it was higher, I would go with the latter.
