Jenny Heslop RIP
« on: February 12, 2023, 04:05:06 PM »

More sad news, I'm afraid.

I've been informed that Jenny Heslop died in Wythenshawe Hospital last night.

The loss of yet another Alty stalwart.

Sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Sincere RIP Jenny. A true Alty stalwart and a very lovely person too.

Sad news......one of the many people who welcomed non Alty born and bred newbies like me into the club 20 odd years ago.
Her calming down of Dennis post match was something I always smile about

George and Jenny were two absolute stalwarts of the club.

Jenny ran the bar like clockwork in a small environment with many hundreds of people flowing through.

Thoughts with Sally and the family x

Really saddened by this, maybe even sadder than the loss of Kingy.

Due to some dubious ID checking of the fans, at least 3.of the 4 KGR team regularly enjoyed pre match and post match pints by Jenny. Without that warm encouraging welcome, I do wonder if we'd habe got sucked into watching home and away.

Someone that was part of my match day experience in the opening 6 seasons as the players and management. Post Eastbourne will long live in my memory

This is really sad news. Jenny ran a tight ship in the old NWS bar under the main stand & in the days before craft beer & routine 2k home gates. So many of us will have fond memories of a natter with her across the bar. One of the final nights I remember in there was after we beat Guiseley in that famous play off final in 2014 with James Walshaw leading the singing. Great times.

The face of the Noel White Suite and an integral part of the match day experience. Made running the bar look easy and always had time for a friendly welcome. Something that was lost in the move to the CSH but that’s progress I suppose. RIP Jenny.
