Snowing did not stop us playing at school....even if a blizzard......then again our PE teacher was ex-Gestapo

Blimey, where did you find a school like that?

Schools aside, surely a match can still be played in a light covering of snow. I seem to remember one of our greatest ever results was in the snow, where a huge effort was made to get the game on and a man called Pritchard was the hero!

Trying hard to remember the game you mention but can't . please remind me .  That midfield trio of Heathcote, Dickinson and Pritchard was very good though .

I remember at St Johns Junior school, breaktime we were given shovels and told to clear the snow off the steps. Also my first game watching Alty was the 1963/64 season and the game was an FA cup game at Moss lane,The snow was about 3 inches deep and you could only see half way across the pitch but the game did go ahead, though called off in the second half when the fog rolled in making it almost inpossible to see less than 3 yards in front of you.

Go on then, who is Oyedele? The UTD kid? Love it when Phil throws a name on the bench I've never heard.

BIOGRAPHY
Versatile Salford-born Poland Under-18 international.

Oyedele is adept in defence but has primarily played as a midfielder in the U18s during the 2021/22 season. With physicality, good feet and an eye for goal, few have played more regularly for Travis Binnion’s young Reds.

The highlight of his season came in the form of a third-round FA Youth Cup strike against SC**thorpe United. Oyedele has progressed through the ranks at United having enjoyed casual ‘samba football’ sessions as a young kid at The Cliff.

Is Cooper injured. You’d think he would be on the bench?

He never gets a game or as sub. He is a decent defender

Radio Robins is playing music. Again. I've given up with it, the link up with Radio Alty isn't working for me.
