Maidstone Match Thread

Looks like a different no. 9 will be needed. Id rather have Dinanga than Hulme. Same starting 10 that aside.

Maidstone 1-2 Alty (Colclough, Conn-Clarke)

It'd be very Parkinson to quietly extend the loan in the background

It would be eminently sensible not to let our opponents know if it was happening. If not, Hulme rather than Dinanga for me. This is a very winnable game - we were robbed of 2 points by the crap officials in the first meeting.

Forgive my ignorance... however why do we need a new number 9 - has Jennings loan already expired?

To that point, I notice Danny Elliott has recently gone on loan to Gateshead - which is pretty annoying because I thought he could have been a realistic target for us.

Article was 1 month loan from. NOV 6TH so would expire.

That is disappointing. A 27 year old point to prove striker would have been a great addition over a 31 year old Jennings.

Whilst we're on the topic of loans expiring, Chester have a lad called Charlie Caton on loan from Shrewbury who seems to have done well - expires 28th.

I'm sure Shrewsbury would be keen on trying him a level upwards if the option is there.

Good news for all those that can’t be arsed to go. It’s being streamed, £4.75. Will ruin nonleague football forever this

Same 11 with Hulme up top.

Think Jordan will benefit playing with both Newby and Colclough.

I agree 👍. He deserves a chance with those providers.

Dinanga on the bench to use if needed.

I watched the Kidderminster Harriers v Chester game on Wednesday night on BT Sport & he looked decent.

As did Chester, who are now a very good footballing side under Calum McIntyre.

I thought they looks like an academy side. Lots of great passing play and movement, but missing a bit of star quality to score first half.

We rocked up to Kings lynn with a lad who'd trained with us for weeks; and never got annouced. We had Byron training with us for a few weeks and he got a late announcement to the squad a weeks back.

It's not a criticism to keep our opposition unsure; but I reckon we've seen at least 8 players quietly involved without fanfare in the past 4 seasons.
