Southend match thread
« on: December 02, 2022, 12:35:17 PM »

Same starting 11. Would take a draw

Southend 1-1 Alty (Newby)

Is this the first thread that has originated in the Gambia?

I fancy us tomorrow. You could easily argue in our 3 creditable draws down there at Bromley, Boreham Wood & Woking that we could have won all 3 with a bit more luck & better finishing so maybe that will turn for us tomorrow. 2-1 Alty or a 1-1 my prediction. Hope we fetch another 100 down like at Woking but the needlessly early KO will definitely put off a few.

Hopefully the fact they were paid this week doesnt turn their corner. If Gateshead (albeit at home) can get something, here's hoping

I was hoping it might help us as the players could have afforded to buy themselves a few pints to celebrate their wages going in! 😉

Any idea where Dinanga is?

Gould on bench. Are we short of options or could Byrne be carrying an injury?

Certainly out of favour on team selection but perhaps if weve travelled overnight its better to have a GK/coach go

With the most recent squad additions, a settled starting XI and our weaknesses becoming less prominent, it does finally feel like we've arrived this season.

Another great away point against a team that will be in and around the playoff picture this season.

Hope we can start pulling away from the bottom bunch now, there's clearly loads of teams in this division that aren't as strong as we are.

A draw against a team who signed our leading scorer is definitely a good point!

(I hope Dan Mooney will be alright too, it sounded a nasty injury).

Where's your proof of this claim though?

For all we know, you might just be hiding out at an Airbnb in Adswood.

Just getting back towards Manchester… we had them beat today! Toby and Newby were the standouts for me! Was at least 70 or more there. So much better than last year. This team is going places!
