One down, 15 minutes. Staying at home was a good choice.

Yet again a header from a corner. What do we practice in training all week ? It's happening with frightening regularity.

A good win, decent performance and hopefully good enough to tempt a few more into the JDavidson and BT another visit

Much better, Alty.

The first half was very much in keeping with recent form but it can only be an encouraging sign that we actually bothered to turn up in the second half - hopefully we'll put that hoodoo to bed.

In Newby at least we now have a different outlet, which is what we were crying out for.

He's not a bad player, but drops a horrendous goal conceding bollock on a regular basis.

He's 3rd choice in the '2' in the guaranteed 4-2-3-1

Agree that he's third choice if we're playing 4-2-3-1.

I think his recent form may have been due, in part, to the amount of minutes he has played. Might have needed a rest.

It’s a slightly odd time to post this I guess but whilst Osbourne and Marriott was a good partnership last season, I’m happy to give Lundstram and Marriott a set of games to form a better one (given Osbourne’s lack of form and the fact that he and Lundstram haven’t really clicked).

I think not conceding straight after half time for once was key. A better side would’ve put us away but that’s not our problem and we showed better mentality and urgency second half than we did v Wealdstone and Barnet.

A big win given that Maidstone and Yeovil won today.

Phew.

Much better second half , would like to keep Newby if possible .Don't think Jennings is a number 9 as in hold the ball up and keep the centre backs occupied but he played his part in the second goal.

That's the best side/squad we've got to put out imho. We need to stick with it.

Played a nice part in what should’ve been an equaliser just before half time

Far from convinced with Byrne his distribution was awful tonight more than once kicked out of play, then spends his time flapping his arms about as if its not his fault.fantastic 2nd half tonight feared the worst after conceding early again,Ryan again MOM fantastic and a cool one on one finish for the winner  onto a trough trip to Woking next week but hopefully the confidence levels should be slightly higher.

I thought Jennings played well. There isn’t anyone else at the club that can hold the ball up as well, OK Jordon is decent at it but Jennings has the size and strength. I think him Newby and Ryan worked really well tonight.

Well done lads, much better. Great to have Toby back, we looked more solid at the back and full backs overlapped well. Eddy Jones did well for our first goal, found by Ryan Colclough and good cross for Elliot Newby who had half the York penalty area to himself, but still finished it very well. Newby and Connor Jennings look like decent additions with quality and experience and combined well to set Ryan up for the winner.

Still need to improve on defending set pieces again but 2 very well taken goals and the second half improvement was much more like a Parky side.

Excellent second half, the energy and willingness to play for each other was a joy.

Jennings makes a big difference, bringing others into pay and being a hand full for the defence.

Toby looked commanding, CCC, Newby and off course Coco first class.

I must salute the fans, lots of singing and encouragement, the new breed taking on Ecky's mantle.

Agreed, and the way the players arranged themselves at goal kicks shows they fear it's going to get shanked.

Considering his height he doesn’t seem to be able to be dominant when the crosses come in, he needs to dominate his 6 yard box more.. also, his kicking needs to be more measured
