ENGLAND GAMES
« on: July 25, 2007, 07:00:28 AM »

I noticed the posting on the main site re Rod Thornley and England's  games on 8 Sep and 13 Oct this season - kick off at 5pm

We are at home to Oxford at 3pm on Sat 8 Sep and away to Salisbury at 3pm on Sat 13 Oct.

Given last season's experience, are there any plans to change the time or dates of these games?

We could well miss out on a good pay day there as the crowd for the Oxford game will surely be affected? Tough call too as a 1:30 ko would reduce travelling support further in my view.

The people that would travel to Alty from Oxford are the dedicated ones who in my mind would rather than watch Oxford rather England so I dont think it would affect us that much. But yes it would surely affect some and definately some of the floating Alty fans.

Maybe another chance to shift the kick off and offer England fans cheap entry to our game again? Got us a few quid last time!!

As long as the two games are not as bad as last time!!

We'll have to make sure we get 400 oxford fans to stay behind and watch the match in the bar, Should make a few quid.

How do you propose to fit 400 people in the Noel White Suite?  ::) ??? ;)

What about hiring a massive screen that we can wheel infront of the main stand after the game and have a 1000 capacity at £2 a head to watch the game.   :D
