Why is it the same price for a STAR member and a non-member?  I thought there was a discount for STAR members?  About the only benefit members get from their membership 

But never mind, it is still a far more co-operative and useful organisation than it used to be at one time with certain people running the show!   

Can't help but think that you are a little out of order with that last comment.

You may dislike certain individuals who represented STAR but they gave up a lot of their time to raise funds for Altrincham FC. 
Have you forgotten the successful Birmingham 20 event already?

Besides, as we are still awaiting Part II of the STAR AGM...I'm not quite sure who is elected to be "running the show" these days!

Fact of the matter is STAR was nearly ruined altogether (by individuals who shall not be named) because they considered the endless debate of rules and regulations to be more important than raising money and giving it to the club. The club came close to severing all ties with STAR because of the intransigence of certain committee members and for them to come on this forum and make veiled criticisms of the organisation (like it or not they KNOW that's what they are doing) is truly inappropriate. It is they who are out of order because they nearly ruined our supporters trust,  which as you rightly said has been the driving force behind a lot of good fundraising ideas for the club. Long may it continue.
