Wealdstone Match Thread
« on: September 07, 2022, 09:48:30 AM »

Next 2 games are huge, essential we get at least 4 points.

                               Byrne

Barrows.   Mullarkey.  Baines.   E. Jones

                  Osbourne.   Lundstram

     Bennett.    Conn-Clarke.     Colclough

                              Dinanga

Alty 2-1 Wealdstone (Dinanga, Colclough)

Just a finger in air guess at the team as i seems to be tad random.

If we do lose the pressure must surely be on the management.

agree, next 2 games are crucial and a minimum of 4 points would be most welcome.

Team selection, going to be interesting, we need to stop conceding silly goals and at opposite end be more clinical.

Rumour has it Byrne has been redeployed serving ale in the CSH. Behind the bar as opposed to underneath it.😎

Pretty sure that every time a statement like this is made, we fail to achieve it.
Not to say that I disagree with you of course. Draw on Saturday, win on Tueday.

If they're fit, I reckon Kaja in place of Bennett and Hulme for Dinanga. Otherwise would be team I'd select.

I think it's time for Parky to put out the eleven HE thinks is his best side, let them settle down for a run of games and see where that takes us.
There may be a few noses out of joint perhaps but I think it's getting to the stage where it needs to be done.

Four points ? We need all 6 ! Fail to beat Wealdstone and confidence won't be high against SC**thorpe. If our position doesn't constiture a crisis, I'm not sure what does.

Our position will look very different if we can get these points on the board.

Part of me thinks it's the wrong time to change things around too much going into these two.

I think that's pretty likely. The EFL games tomorrow (Friday) have already been called off, and a decision will be made on Friday for the rest  of the weekend's EFL games after a review of the official mourning guidelines and a consultation with the DCMS.

The game should go ahead with the national anthem played beforehand as a mark of respect to her majesty. With the players in the usual position taken for a minutes silence

Absolutely.
Respect needs to be shown to remember her reign.
Fair enough sports that she enjoyed shutting down as a mark of respect, however football should not be one of them. The last time the Queen attended a game was the Euro 96 final and the 76 FA cup final before that and then the 66 WCF
