Just seen BBC video with Alty fan and volunteer Erin...……..was looking for cricket scores, but somehow landed in this. Quite a decent piece and good publicity.

That is a wonderful article. Erin, mum and grandfather should be very proud.

The bit that struck home to me was when Erin spoke of nerves, overcoming those feelings and now waiting to interview managers. As a middle aged bloke living with a bag of nerves and anxieties I can only admire her and use Erin and her approach as a way to make progress myself.

Thank you for posting.

Sadly though Erin has been trolled, not only by those who don't believe Women belong in football but also by an Alty Fan and regular contributor to this site who think she's getting too much undeserved credit and that there are other fans much more deserving of the attention

If a regular contributor to this site has a problem with women and football going together then I wouldn’t imagine they are a very enlightened or intelligent life form. WSL games feature some high quality players. It’s 2022 for goodness sake! Man up.

I think that's disappointing. Disgraceful actually.
It's unworthy and insulting to her, the Club and to all of us.
The person who made the comments needs to seriously give their head a wobble and seriously get a grip. This is the 21st century. Have a word with yourself.

I don't think it's appropriate to name the person.

He may have read this and be reconsidering his view (I doubt it but you never know)

He might even post an apology (although I've never known him apologise for anything before)

Could you at least tell us where you've seen these comments? I've not read anything but support and admiration from Alty fans for her.

I don't suppose the miserable git concerned would remotely consider doing things that Erin takes on board, such as forking the pitch at half time when it's absolutely peeing down. No, I thought not.

Ignore the trolls Erin, we all respect you.

Should really name a shame the right individual before random names start being thrown out there

Really disappointing by whoever you are. What ever your views why do you troll such an inspirational hard working person, does it make anyone (maybe you) happy ?. Please try to keep your evil vitriol in your own head  :-X (or see you physiatrist more often).

Up the Robins, and well done Erin you're an inspiration.
