More Sad News
« on: April 11, 2022, 05:25:10 PM »

I have read on Social Media that former Altrincham defender  George Melling has passed away.
Having been diagnosed with MND George raised a significant sum of money for research into this dreadful disease.
He married his fiancee as he had wanted.
RIP George

Dreadful news, it didn't seem that long ago since his diagnosis.

Thoughts go out to his loved ones.

Yes, it's very sad news. As Marple said, it's not long since his diagnosis, and I remember seeing  him playing for Longridge Town only five years ago. RIP George,

Very disappointing that there has been absolutely no mention of George on the Official Site

It's been up since yesterday! 🤔

On the JL site now too.
