Actually it was the 1st March.

As reported yesterday, Altrincham FC is suing Axa the insurance giants for £250,000.
The claim was filed in December and relates to the closure of the club from March 2020 to June 2021 during the Covid pandemic. The club's business interruption policy with the insurers, Axa, apparently includes a clause for the "closure of the premises 'on the advice or with the approval' of the government" and the case seems to be based on whether that clause should trigger a payout by Axa or not.

Seems the club have said all that they can do at the moment. I presume we'll hear more when the case has been settled one way or the other.

I used to think that. I had someone run in to my wife's car whilst I was driving. It turned out I wasn't insured for business use. Her insurance company amended the policy so I was insured and back dated it. Then they went after the other guy.

£125k extra a year for hybrid? Doubt it. Full time? No chance. But welcome for a better wage bill and minor ground improvements certainly.

Perhaps it wouldn't be enough on its own but IF we were working towards budgeting for hybrid/full time next year, the extra £250k could be the clincher?

I get the impression this is a case of claiming money we were already due in the circumstances (and may have already had to spend a large proportion of?) rather than a nice new shiny wad of money to fund us over the next couple of years?

I think it would be more than the claim is worth to sustain hybrid or FT football, like others have said, maybe more beneficial used on minor ground repairs such as the gaping hole on the pop side
