A cold and windy afternoon in Kings Lynn but very heartwarming to watch the lads gain a very much needed 3 points against a poor opponent

Having said that, we did invite them on to us far too much in the second half but kept them out.

We played well in the first half and went in deservedly in front butttt. it should have been a 2 goal lead after we yet again failed to convert a penalty kick. Personally I would have given Dens the opportunity to take it but as it happens we didn’t get punished for missing it today..

Our two fullbacks played well today along with the rest of the back 4 and Tommo.

I hope Con-Clarke’s  injury isn’t as bad as it seemed. Disappointed by the KL chavs rejoicing in the fact that the bloke was stretchered off.

The league table does look a bit better tonight.

Kings Lynn came out to the Theme tune of The Great Escape.

I suggest they change that to an episode of Dads Army where Private Fraser cries out “We’re all Doomed”

Nicked from @eddymistra on Twitter, today was Altys 1220th game in top flight non league football since the APL was formed in 1979. This puts us level now with Northwich Vics for the most top flight games played. Kidderminster are 3rd with 1212 games, followed by Kettering and Woking.

Biggest 3 points we’ll get all season, Laurence’s HUGE, HUGE, HUUUUGE shout on RR at FT summed it up. I can only go off the radio and reports from lads who went but sounds like that was a fully deserved win & it could/should have been more. Now we really have to build on this & try & push for a finish as high up as possible.

Big 3 points. Was very nervous at the end but in truth we were probably never in real danger. Could and should have been a 3 or 4 nil game. Hopefully we have the confidence to go and put a run together. We know we are more than capable of matching anyone in this league on our day. COYR

As said on the coach home, any neutral watching was only seeing 1 winner, us.

I hope we never go there again, pain to get to.

Really should have been 3 or 4, the chances to Bury it.

We moved it well, Jordan playing probably at his level, and good see White AND Dens experience showing.

The New lad at the back did well, given he's not played (has trained for a while before international duty) and knew where to launch and when to leave for TT.

My MOTM would be Dens or Hulme, Colclough his usual class as per.

Let's home this is the start of a confidence run. Free hit Tuesday

KL is definitely not the worst place I've been to this season... some decent pubs around the ground and friendly fans. The ground itself was more than adequate too.

However, like a lot of clubs in this league they have some wannabe 10 year old hooligans and, agreed it is a hell of a trip to get there.

Went with a mate who lives down this way, a neutral. He agreed that we were comfortably the better side, didn't really feel like Lynn would score. I thought Hulme, Dens, Moult and Colclough were stand outs. I actually thought Cooper had a very poor first half but he improved after the break, and Mullarkey was reasonable throughout. Lynn were surprisingly passive given how big a game it was for them.

Massive shame about the lad, Conn-Clarke - he looked like quite a promising prospect. I assume that might be the last we see of him...

I assume Parky will give us an update when he's interviewed?
