The first goal was excellent to be fair … as for the second…. Time and time again we piss about passing back and then the kick out is sh*t and the opposition score, the defence  at the moment is error strewn all over the place and Tommos kicking is awful at best

These errors are occurring far too often.

Thompson has not been great since his injury and kicking has been poor.

True, was it three or four that went straight into touch?

We’re so low on belief and confidence. Beaten by a better side, but we didn’t even look like scoring. These next two games are make or break.

I can't see us getting anything from Torquay

Id agree with this. There was a moment in the second half when Jordan got the better of one of the two centre backs he was battling with and there was absolutely nobody close to him to pass to. I think the players seem hesitant and lacking the confidence to commit themselves forward in case they are picked off on the counter. We won’t get anything in this league by being hesitant though, we need to have a real go at Torquay next week – fortune favours the brave.
The passing was awful yesterday too, we just couldn’t string together more than 3 passes and too many balls went long from back to front – again a confidence issue. Pringle has to start, comfortable on the ball and has the confidence to keep playing in a team that is clearly lacking it.

Sounds like we were worse than it sounded on RR, very concerning.

I don't know about that. Brian said it was the worst he'd seen us play this season.

Grasping at straws at least we didn't concede in the first half.
Kings Lynn is everything now. We need to reset and get a result. Grimsby can do it. So can we.

Tony came out very well to block the one on one midway through the first half and pulled off an excellent save bang on halftime.

It took two excellent long shots to beat us, we offered little up front but we were committed in defence. The goal so early in the second half screwed up whatever plan we had.

We weren't all bad.

I think we're going down. Feels like Sinnotts 2nd season where he ran out of idea.

Would celebrate survival as much as that fluke. Goal at Boston

And I thought I was a glass half empty kind of bloke!
You're more of an empty glass smashed to smithereens kind of bloke!
We're struggling, yes, but we're nowhere near poor enough to go down (this year at least).
We'll probably finish bottom six though.
I think I predicted 16th at the start of the season and I'd still be happy with that. (I believe you would too judging by your latest post.)

This sqaud is good enough to finish 12-14th individuallly, collectively and having seen the heads drop again yesterday we look out of ideas.

Be delighted with 16th.

I think our 'second season syndrome' runs the risk of kicking in properly next season, given the league structure is a bit of a mess this season. I'm still confident we'll survive this season, because there are only 2 spots available.

Next season, however - that'll be challenging. I expect both promoted NLN teams to be stronger than us, which is certainly a different dynamic compared to when we came up with King's Lynn.

I agree. We'll be OK this year, it's next season that's really worrying.

I would imagine half  the current squad won't be here next season especially if there's a switch to Hybrid or full time
