Someone has tipped off the Welsh authorities that Chester's ground is in Wales and they've been letting fans watch their games.

It's looking like a real can of worms.

Presumably Berwick Rangers are ok to play in front of a full house at Shielfield Park!

Was it anything to do with Trafford MBC.

This is just getting silly!

When the Welsh rules were announced it did cross my mind about Chester, and if their board didn't make a few calls to check then they're pobl araf, as they (possibly) say in Wales.

You could not write it could you? It does get worse. Maybe just proves that TBC are no worse than the others. The Marble Arch mound comes to mind £6m worth of boll**ks   SBL

It's a decent enough view from the top of that, but it was free when I visited. Should it have been built? Nah.

It is silly because I believe as the club isnt registered in Wales they cant apply for any of the Welsh Government funding.  Not my favourite club but they have been done over here

The Marble Arch Mound is in the Prem. League as an example of a spectacular waste of public money; as a monument(?) it is the definition of 'completely underwhelming'.

Chester have said they could go bust if fans are barred. They always seem to cop it don't they? What an absolute farce.

I suppose they don't fancy a groundshare if it comes to it?

The Welsh govt seem to want it both ways, no cash to them cos they're not eligible yet demand no crowds because the pitch is in Wales.

Can they open any stands wholly within England?

Some heads need a proper wobble down in Cardiff.

I believe the ground and stands are in Wales and only some of the offices are in England.

I understand the entrance is in England. And that Chester City thought they could hedge their bets and have things both ways with a ground on the border. It seems the current club can't have things any way now!

When the ground was built it didn't matter from a political perspective. It predates the Welsh Administration.

They've only got one home game in January. I think they should find a club they can groundshare with.

I'm expecting restrictions to be lifted by the time the six nations starts.
