The last occasion on which Alty played a match on Christmas Day:

25th December 1961
Cheshire County League

Winsford United 1  Altrincham 1

Alty goalscorer: Paddy Fagan.

I wonder if there are still any Alty supporters out there who attended this fixture....or have ever experienced watching the Robins play a match on Christmas Day during another season?

I was four, my time didn't start until I was 17, back in October, 1974.

My first game was a 4-3 win over Chester reserves ironically in 1966-7 season although I went to Rochdale the season before as it was nearer to where I lived (i.e. A number 17 bus from the top of our street which dropped me a short walk to Spotland). I was sweet 16 at the Chester game 😉

Was Paddy Fagan in any way related to Joe Fagan and therefore Mick Fagan at all?

Wikiwhatsit says Joe's father was a Patrick. More than that I dunno.

Correct Steve. Paddy wasn't related.
