Can at least one of you have the mettle to give us a summary of :-

What event happened that has led to the indefinite shutdown of over half the spectator areas?

Exactly what needs to be done essentially to satisfy TBC?

Do we have ANY funds available to pay for the work?

If we pay for the improvements will it leave us in a precarious position with regard to paying player and staff wages and other monthly bills?

Frankly, how bad is it?

The fans at Alty are special and we want to help but you need to be honest with us and sooner rather than later!

For and on behalf of all Alty fans and supporters everywhere.

PS.  When the end was nigh for Macclesfield Town they stopped communicating with their fans.  Lets not go there please.

I’m confident we now have a board who will get the club through this problem, and update us when they have something to state

I think this board made a point of saying that they would be better with communication? People are genuinely worried that the club is in real, real trouble here. Just need some communication!

but we already know what caused the chain of events and what concerns have been raised . Why delay ? Tell us what you know now and issue a further statement when possible

I hope that you are right and on reflection I shouldn't be quite so presumptuous especially on other peoples behalf.  I hope that a statement is soon forthcoming.

I understand your worry, it shows you care about the club which is admirable.

The last two weeks must have been very difficult for all those who run the club. I'm upset, but for those who spend their lives trying to make the club great this must be devastating. Some additional communication would be so welcome and I am sure that all the fans are 100% behind their efforts and that those who run the club know this.

I see now that there is an article on John's 'Alty Files' site taken from the  match day programme on Tuesday and written by Bill.  This outlines the essential work that is deemed necessary.  I was not aware of this earlier and I wish to thank Bill for providing this.  On the face of it it doesn't seem as bad as I thought it might be.  I suppose it all comes down to cost and if we can afford it.

Getting a workforce at short notice will be a further challenge. There seems to be a waiting list for almost any kind of tradesman at the moment. No doubt McGoffs or whoever aren't sat at home waiting for the call.
