There's an update from the board about capacity, etc, on the club's website now.

Thanks for this . How long do you think it will be untill we know the full scale of the challenges we have ?

Ie the specific issues and required work and potential timescales and future funding required ?

I'm still not clear what started all this off at this particular point in time. Was it just a consequence of a regular review of us by Trafford Council or were they prompted to act by the action or complaint of a third party? If the latter, what was the nature of the complaint I wonder?

If we're going to speculate a third option might be that an inspection of the Fanzone to confirm it conforms to building regs provided opportunity to notice that other areas of the ground were substandard and needed to be brought to the attention of the relevant authority.

The club just needs to crack on and get thinks resolved. Things seem to be happening so hopefully it will be history by Christmas.

Regardless of speculation, it needed to be done soomer rather than later - it's an absolute mess at the moment.

Hopefully a good cup run will subsidise it.

Once the Council/HSE start to take an interest in an area/facility, they generally leave no stone unturned, hence the extent of the closures within the stadium. The only surprise for me is that this didn't happen sooner.

It would be good to know more specific details about the required remedial works, if it can be communicated to us.
