If he's moved up there and there's family stuff involved you could be right.
Depends how keen Stockport are and how much cash they're prepared to splash, I suppose.
If they think he's the right person, they'll certainly try to tempt him.

Koeman's been sacked by Barcelona: he will be a shoe in for Stockport!

Very worrying.

I can see why County would be keen, but feel they want to have somebody who's won over course and distance.

All the same it would be nice if they cracked on and signed up someone else.
Failing that, (but I know that's not how it works) an official comment from our club to the effect of "don't be daft."

I think the length of the contract extension they signed on a full time basis serves that purpose!

I did discuss this with the Alty Family Group where we Zoom each other. Agreed as below:-

Parky and Sorvs have invested too much time and care into managing Alty.
They have nothing to lose after turning things round for us over the last 4 years.
Things could easily go wrong at Stockport, starting work all over again.
Why go to a rival in our own league.
Grass is always greener on the other side.
Always lots of speculation and Phil and Sorvs are under contract, both work full time also.

please correct me if I am wrong but it's my understanding they are full time at the club now and don't hold other full time jobs . How could they ?

thank you I knew for certain Phil had given up the college work . The truth is they are fair game . We have to just hope they don't want to go

They're doing such a great job here that it's obvious that they'd be on the radar of other clubs
I would like to think they'd be inclined to stay with us until at least the end of their contracts then see where we are as a club.
If I were them, the security and freedom given to them here would be a big factor but to manage a team with loadzamoney is a temptation.
I don't think Stockport is the right move but if someone like Crewe came knocking sometime in the future...

You'd have to hope they see us as a club they've invested a lot of time and effort into and have a great chance of taking us even further.
We too have invested in them and I'd hope that they'd be motivated to take us as far as they/we can get to - wherever that might be.
The grass isn't always greener elsewhere. Let's hope they see that and stay here where they're really backed and appreciated. I'm sure they will.

As I say, they'd probably taken Nantwich as far as they could go, whereas hopefully we can still go further (and have a plan to).. And after what happened to Jim Gannon, I'd be surprised if they wanted to take a chance on County, or indeed if County would go in for them after their last appointment. I don't know what's going on at County, but I don't understand these decisions they've made, and frankly it reminds me a bit of what happened at Hereford.

8/1 now. Don't worry though, I seem to remember the England team get similar odds for most tournaments!
