Alty vs Gainsborough at Chesterfield 1998?

Does anyone remember this game being a league cup final at Chesterfield mid week which we won ? Just came back to me for some reason Bernard Taylor coming over to the fans at the end , good memories! :)

That was an amazing game. There seemed to be thousands of Gainsborough fans (probably Chesterfield tbh) and didn't Keith Russell have a cracker. Feels like a lifetime ago now.

Great game full of incident, Keith Russell got a brace and Danny Adams got sent off (we don't make it easy). Great to see Bernard bring the trophy over to the fans.

What happend to Keith Russell ?

did keiths second goal win it for us ? And if I recall it was a peach bending it from a tight angle between the reach of the keeper and post but we were stood at the opposite end to the goal . I have the program somewhere

I recall the ref blowing very very early for the end of the first half of extra time.
