I emailed the club today via the contact form on the website and, I've got to say, the response was superb.

Many thanks!  :)

Sorry about that. Mine arrived in a soft large envelope, I am very surprised the mug survived the trip. Hope the club sort out a replacement.

Yes, not the smartest packaging!

Mines for ornamentation only so a few drops of glue will fix the handle.

I'm not sure who's been overseeing the postage of items from the club but it has been verging on the amateurish.

I know of problems relating to the delivery of the respective programmes produced for the play-off success in 2020 and the closing fixture of the 2020/21 season against Torquay United.

Inexplicably, there were instances in which programmes were posted out in cheap and flimsy envelopes (not even hardback) with the result that the items arrived having been damaged in transit and/or insufficient postage had been paid by the club, thereby entailing that the purchaser had to venture to the nearest sorting office in order to fork out for the excess postal charge and collect the item.

Somebody was also under the bizarre misapprehension that you affix postage stamps to the top left-hand corner of envelopes. Schoolboy howler there.

The standard of postal deliveries certainly needs to be sharpened up, particularly if the club do intend to offer the postal subscription service for next season's home programmes that was mentioned earlier this year.

I make mugs and post them out almost daily - I wrap them up very securely. Expecting a mug to survive the Royal Mail journey simply in a jiffy bag is extremely optimistic. I'm glad some got through unscathed.

Same here - the club never put a stamp on my Torquay programme.

Not only did I have to pay the excess postage, I had to make two visits as the Post Office Sorting Office counter was only open up to 10.00 am ! ☹️☹️
