Here's how I expect Hartlepool to line up tomorrow:

GK  Killip
RB  Cass (on loan from Newcastle)
CB  Odusina
CB  Johnson
LB  Ferguson
DM  Featherstone
RM  Donaldson
CM  Shelton
CM  Holohan
LM  Ofosu
CF  Bloomfield/Oates/Parkhouse(on loan from Sheff United)

They are an attacking-minded team that, like us, like to play "pretty football" so it should be quite an enjoyable game for neutral fans (if there are any).  They are dangerous all over the pitch, they have two wingers that like to drift inside and score goals, both the central midfielders attack the box and often get on the scoresheet and the full backs both bomb forwards and get crosses into the box for the forwards to attack.  They are often left with three men back (the two CBs and Featherstone) so I wonder if we will be looking to counter them and win the transitions - potentially a game Ceesay could be effective in with his pace.  It'll be a tough ask but if we are 100% there defensively and we are more clinical in front of goal than we have been this season I am certain we can get something from this game.

Predicted lineup:

Thompson
Senior
Mullarkey
Sutton
Hampson
Moult
Potter
Mooney
Hancock
Ceesay
Peers

Densmore
Hannigan
Richman
Kosylo
Fisayo

Thompson
Senior Mullarkey Sutton Hampson
          Moult   Richman/Potter
Mooney Hancock Kosyolo
              Cisse/Fisalo

Richmans ratting might work here, but Potter's experience will settle and organise, we need pace and someone to cross to, hence the strikers.

I can't see him getting overly creative, like some of the posters on this thread.

He'll persist with Peers - but other than that, it would be good for Senior, Hannigan, Richman and Mooney to come in - possibly White if he really wants to rotate everyone.

Molyneux starts over Ofosu for Hartlepool and Parkhouse is favoured over Oates and Bloomfield.

I'm not convinced that we have a stronger team than last season with Jordans departure. We obviously need to rectify that quickly. Playing Peers when he wasn't good enough for a place last season just illustrates the problem
Need at least a point tonight.

But that is the only position we are weaker, shame it is such a vital one if goals don't come from elsewhere!

I have had to turn the sound off on the live streaming. We have just been introduced as Altrincham Town. FFS.
Let's hope the Radio Robins comentary is in sync with the vision.

Don't know what to say about that. Was already to write not enough talent, not enough ideas, but at the end of the day we've stopped one of the favourites for the division from creating very much and could/should have won it.

Gutted about our injuries but it sort of forced us to have a load of attacking players on the pitch and we played much better.

Kosylo was very good in the middle of the park, very calm. Shame  he missed the pen.

TT wasn't the best again. Their commenters said he would be a good rugby player because he kicked into touch so many times.

Both injuries to Toby and Richman look bad.

Good point.

Who'd have thought we'd be disappointed at not winning?

Delighted not just with the result, but with a performance of character and attacking endeavour!
