Losing Josh Hancock would be the ultimate nightmare. I wonder what his contract situation is...

I think Jordan Hulme works his tripe off for the club. They way he holds the ball up and brings other team-mates into play, and not least the number of assists he provides. I am not bothered re his odd fallow periods because of his general contribution to each game. I do think Jordan Hulme is a vital player to the club, but I also think Jordan is fairly happy here.

The club will do all possible to keep their other players as we cannot afford to break up this talented squad we have. We are in a strong position now, and I feel we can really compete with Chester if we both reach the playoffs. The home game V Chester will be an ideal opportunity for Jordan to prove how wrong Chester's management duo were, to release him from Salford originally. Stay where you are wanted Jordan, this club value you and will always look after you; that goes for the fans too. The same applies to Josh Hancock also.

On that point the club may view the recent sale as a chance to review current contracts.

Jordan made both goals on Saturday so it doesn't really matter too much if he's not scoring. Let him drift wide and take the defenders with him for all I care. The looping cross for the second at the weekend was sublime.

There is an elephant in the room here though.

At the meeting last week it was acknowledged that the club is working towards being full time probably with some kind of hybrid half way house at some point.
Until we can offer full time to at least some of the squad there is always going to be some risk of losing players to the call of full time football even to clubs in our league.

The other issue is that it was said that we need to be full time to compete at the next level. What do we do until we can afford it.
I'm wondering how much the match day tickets would need to go up and whether fans would stomach it if they knew it was to deliver full time football going forward.

Agree that Jordan is an absolute diamond- his performance against Pompey when he ran their defence ragged, won the penalty, should have been given another and di everything but score proved that he is more than capable of doing a good job of work for a club 2 or 3 steps up the ladder.

He will have been noticed by a lot of bigger clubs so I would be gobsmacked if someone doesn't come in for him.  I just hope that if this happens we sell him to a league club rather than a non league club - I don't buy the argument that at 29 and a bit he is too old for league football - a player of his calibre would be value for a few more seasons.  Also, I hope we don't let him go for anything less than a substantial fee with a sell on clause, and that if another non league club does come into him we do whatever we can to persuade him to stay.

But if he gets a chance of league football and we get a good fee, then we should not stand in his way.

Safe to say if Chester come knocking we should tell them where to go - Wrexham maybe!!

You can see the March home fixture against Chester being needle match of the season, and probably biggest attendance too if we are both still in play off zone.  Hope we take no chances with security and policing, and that we make sure all the turnstiles are operating as well.  Chester fans have caused serious disorder against us at Moss Lane twice in recent seasons, and young children have been petrified and very upset - don't let them spoil everyone's day a third time - acknowledging that we are talking about a small minority, and it is clear that most Chester fans are as sick of their hooligan element as everyone else is.

Well if he is moving on you'd have had no way of knowing from last night, even by his standards he worked his absolute bollocks off all game. Didn't look like a player on the way out to me.

I see that this morning Non-League Tittle Tattle claims that both sides (Chester and Alty) have revealed that there is NO truth to the Jordan Hulme rumour.  Good news ... if it turns out to be true.

Also, they say that Devarn Green has chosen SC**thorpe United over Alty.
