we were the better team today against 11 men and 10 men.....both bookings were a bit soft given the sort of assaults that go unpunished in this league so the sending off was harsh.

But when the confidence flows boy does our football...fantastic noise on the golf rd and a superb 2nd half display.

Before o needham points it out another clean sheet for thommo and a good double save in the first half...well done thommo!

Hiitting form at just the right time with a strong squad....

Second half and not arsed about 10 men was quality.

JJ came alive.

Defenders worry about Cessay because of his Inspector Gadget legs.

Dolan without seeing much is quality.

On crutches and pissed.

As said earlier, we were better than them in both halves. I know Chester are pretty toothless, but once again our 2 centre backs were faultless. The whole midfield was excellent too. Jake was my motm yet again. Up front, well Chester really don't like JJ, do they? Ceesay is just weird, not seen that style of player since Danny McGoona!
Piggot, Hulme or Chadwick? Glad it's not my decision.

Respect to Piggott but it still doesn't stick as harsh as it is.

They were down when Hulme came on but at the same time we were a different level with Hulme. He wins so many corners from his little touches.

Would be much too harsh to drop the Pig in fairness. As such a big lad, he also plays a vital role when opponents get corners.

Much better second half. Williams was immense and my mom. Hannigan again superb.

Some of football 2nd half was delightful. Thompson had no save to make for 90 minutes.

Can we play them every week?

Very good second half .. after a decent first half where both teams cancelled each other out.
My MotM was Williams thought he was excellent today.
Great crowd made plenty of noise.
Up to 5th. Blyth up next, it won't be easy but definitely winnable.
Spoke to Matt Chadwick pre match he thinks he's a couple of weeks away.

Cmon Alty....

Will sound totally harsh but a fit Chadwick and Hulme is enough. I respect the lad but the ball still doesn't stick whether he scores or not. Different level with Hulme on.  I am not being negative but more realistic.

Entertaining afternoon that for a few reasons.
Well done to the club on getting the segregation implemented, proactive stewards on the Golf Road directing away fans to the right end before the game, away fans on the away end and home fans given access to all the popular side. Made for a decent atmosphere.
First half was fairly even. Don't think the sending off was harsh, it was a second yellow and makes a change for a ref not to bottle a decision against us, as usual.
After that we ran riot.
Well done all the lads, PP and NS!

We haven't nailed a play off place yet but here's hoping both us and Chester get in them.

It's a youth loan - we've got him all season.

Enjoyable day, and  we can be glad Scott Burton decided not to sign for us as his second yellow card was a reflection of his own stupidity, and did seem to play a big part in the way the game went.

The segregation went well, and I think we should thank some of the many decent Chester fans for their self policing of the idiots who were throwing things at Tony Thompson - talking of whom, credit for a second successive clean sheet in a big win.

A comfortable win in the end, and, subject to fitness and injuries, I would keep the same starting 11 for Blyth, especially considering the loss of momentum following the changes made against Stockport in the FA Trophy.

Yeah full credit. If we’ve all got time to come on here and express opinion about the segregation we should take a sec to say thanks to those who listened and put it into practice. Stewards handled them young’uns very well in the first half, credit to the club.
