      would anyone like to say who the first game will be against any predictions mines Crawley away only because i will be at the opposite end of the country on opening day

Afaik, the club have asked for the first midweek fiture of the season, i.e. the 2nd game to be an away fixture as we just want to make sure there aren't any teething problems with the new floodlights. Ergo, we should be at home to someone for the first game of the season. Hughesy thinks Oxford or Torquay...all I'll say is our last 3 opening day fixtures in the Conference have been against Stevenage Borough.

Have a guess.

Not too sure what i would like, an easier game against stafford, salisbury, farsley etc or a 'crowd puller' like oxford, york, exeter or torquay. Still any are better than kettering, barrow, or blyth.

I'd like Torquay first up.

They seem to be putting a good squad together but lots of new players may take time to gel into a team so lets get them early on.  Also a good name to pull in floating fans for the first game of the season, repeat performance of opening day last year and they might keep coming.
