On their letters page, a regular correspondent from Tameside describes Stalybridge Celtic as:

"A sleeping giant."

Well, I'd certainly agree about the sleeping element...

Sleeping? Didn't their league crowds dip to about 198 during the porr run of form a few years back.

He used to be a regular correspondent on the letters page in the MEN Football Pink.
