Many of you on here will know of my long-standing gripe that we never leave a man out wide on the far side at corners. Apart from the ability to pick up a ball knocked on across the box, it also tends to take a defender out of a crowded penalty area.

Look at England's goal against Switzerland tonight, and the tactic appears obvious.

Also picks up the overhit corner they all miss - albeit clearing the first man or keeper seems to be a more common problem in this division and below
