Anybody else feel at a bit of a loose end now?
« on: June 10, 2007, 10:47:04 PM »

After the Aldershot game, like a few other people I have spoken to, I never really, really felt a whole relegation smack in the face. I knew there was a distinct possibility it may happen. It's been on my mind constantly for 6 weeks now, I've checked daily for news of Halifaxs takeover, Crawleys cva, Weymuffs administration, Vics pantomime etc and now..

Now it's happened.

Obviously jubilation etc but now I sort of realise I'm back in the 'normal' boring pre season nowhere world. I'm missing the adrenelin of relegation / reprieve like some sort of herion addict I suppose. Still on the plus side, we now have the shortest pre season out of everyone. Suppose I'd better wait till peoples contracts run out at the end of June to see if there any possible signings.

Sigh.  :)

Anyone know what I mean?

Flynny, I'm already getting too old for all this nonsense mate. This post has just lifted my spirits as I have immediately thought of the prospect of another equaliser at the Kassam Stadium to see you in an Alty top tearing up and down the steps like someone who has just been picked out to be one the contestants on The Price Is right  :D :D :D :D

Players contracts generally run until the 30th June. Up to that point players aren't available, you certainly aren't allowed to speak to them officially until they are out of contract. Or as in the case of Darren Tinson the other club are happy to let you do so. Remember it was 1st July last year when Steve Bushell signed for us.
