Last evening's official gate of 497 was our lowest attendance for a home league fixture since Tuesday, 7th December 2004, when we recorded a 3-1 victory against Vauxhall Motors in the Nationwide North (attendance on that particular evening: 478).

Still the largest crowd of the night, including a Cheshire derby. What times.

Were rebuilding so hopefully after last nights result we will see an increase in attendance over the coming games, especially if the results keep coming.

The results are nothing to do with why a lot of people are staying away.

I completely agree, but I think there was a blacklash to Saturday's result that knocked a fair few more off of Tuesday's attendance. 497 is frightening.

I reckon that's about 200 stay away fans.

I doubt more than 50 are boycotting because of off field issues.

The problem is once people get out of the habit of coming, its hard to get them out of it.

With both City and United kicking off at 3-00pm on Saturday it could well be another poor crowd.

it's up to people wether they turn up or not.

I desperately want to stay away....but I do want to support the manager and the team.....as I haven't been able to get to as many away games as I wanted due to work I have been to Moss Lane more times than I intended......so I booed them off against Stafford and clapped till they were off the pitch the other night.....I'm enjoying the season so far even though we are thrashing top of the league 6-0 one day and losing to bottom of the league without a shot on goal the next....

I don't really know how to protest but maybe it goes on the back burner until we are promoted......or maybe some form of silent dirty protest is in order  ;D ;D ;D ;D

End of the day we shouldn't be in the league in the first place and could have been eyeing promotion back to the conference this season....

It's all very well saying that from the opposite end of the country. People Have their own reasons for staying away and that has to be respected, wether your agree or not. With respect to a lot of supporters, that will only change when change at the head of the football club happens. These people aren't idiots they are lifelong home and away supporters, that contribute a lot to the club, or did. Some even travelled to shildon on Saturday from various parts of the country and stayed in the bar. Some are only attending away games. Maybe they feel detached from what was once their club, who knows. It's not as simple as winning a few games in the hfs loans league and everything's tickerty-boo. I have chosen not to boycott games, but fully respect everybodies decision if they do or don't. Team comes first for me, but that doesn't mean it's the right or wrong way to go about things.

One day you'll post something positive. We won well on Tuesday and some of us actually enjoyed seeing our team win. Sorry it spoilt your sniping agenda. Comments like that are totally unnecessary.
