So was I, and have already said I was wrong. I can only think his lack of much of a pre-season accounted for his slow start, but once he got going,he hasn't looked back.

Agree
Me too. I was scathing after Nantwich, but I'm happy to eat my words.

I think the Hulme doubters are looking a bit silly.

I wouldn't say they look silly for doubting a player who started very slowly but glad he's proved us all wrong.

Good for him playing well and I'm happy for him to continue to prove me wrong with more good performances

We also don't know what affect being given a professional football contract one minute by a club you've served loyally and then being told they've changed their minds for no apparent reason the next has on a young lad. He is really coming into his own now. Never stopped running last night

The lad's really into being at the club on social media - and I like the fact he leads the line vocally at times (something which concerned some in pre-season).

In that respect, I despair at the fact we held on to people like Lawrie for so many years.

He certainly leads by example, and it encourages his team mates to do likewise.

Easy to make such a simple comparison.

To be equally simplistic, in the opposite direction:

Nantwich are only level on points with Altricnham, despite playing a game more including two more home games.

Nantwich haven't beaten anyone in the top ten, Altrincham have beaten two of the top five.

Nantwich failed to be an Altrincham side with ten men, at home.

Of course, none of this has true validity until at least 15/16 games into the season when the table is really sorting itself out.

Hope the head isn't too sore this morning...

I don't claim to get everything right but this wasn't a bad call....
